Technology and Gadgets

I'll start this post by defining "technology" and "gadgets" for a better understanding of the topic.

In general technology is the relationship that society has with its tools and crafts, and to what extent society can control its environment. The Merriam-Webster dictionary offers a definition of the term: "the practical application of knowledge especially in a particular area" and "a capability given by the practical application of knowledge".

A gadget is a small technological object (such as a device or an appliance) that has a particular function, but is often thought of as a novelty. Gadgets are invariably considered to be more unusually or cleverly designed than normal technology at the time of their invention. Gadgets are sometimes also referred to as gizmos.

I consider that technology is very important in our lives, because it makes everything easier. Without it, we wouldn't be able to do the most of the things that we usually do. Technology can be found anywhere, from Caracas to Beijing.

I have many gadgets and I spend a lot of time using them. I have a 30 GB Ipod video, a Toshiba A-100 laptop, a Nokia 6300 cellphone and a HP 49G Graphing calculator.
